As a ELIP (Electrification Installation Product) Business Excellence Manager, you will implement and maintain the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process. You will also ensure continuous engagement and engagement by all contributors, driving sustained reduction of excess and obsolete inventory in $1.5B division challenged to double the business in the next 3 to 4 years.

Your responsibilities

  • Align operational execution with the go-to-market model and segment strategy, ensuring margin targets achieved
  • Manage strategic planning & maintenance between manufacturing, sales, marketing and portfolio to ensure target attainment from an Operational perspective. Process coordination to include Ensure all steps of the SIOP process happen on time, helping all contributors to comply with the requirements and active participation. Run the SIOP meetings, ensuring that all information is presented, all stakeholders are engaged, decisions are made, and execution plans articulated. Ensure the execution of the decisions made during the meetings. Escalate when required
  • Forecast production volume based on proposals pipeline & overdue backlog. Monitor metrics related to the engagement and the outcome of the SIOP or IBP process. Work with all contributors on improving the process, and make sure it is serving the priorities of the business
  • Establish and measure timeliness/ accuracy of responses to sales and customers on deliveries, quality, etc. Ensure information is collected timely and accurately. Arrange a good flow of information from product review to demand review to operations review. In systems businesses ensure coordination of SIOP and Integrated Project Management processes. Check the consistency of all pieces of information used during the SIOP process and facilitate the reconciliation process
  • Drive innovation in the team with a strong customer & operational orientation, exploring all touchpoints along the customer journey
  • Simplify processes from quotation through order entry, enhancing ability to achieve acknowledged promise dates and factory visibility to pipeline
  • Prepare demand and supply scenarios, analyze the risks associated, and propose mitigation plans. In systems business analysis of resource requirements to support different scenarios. Explain the interdependencies among the metrics of the SIOP process
  • Represent business line operations organization on customer meetings, promoting portfolio capabilities
  • Develop talent and builds effective succession planning for team
Your background

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred or related field with 5 plus years of SIOP experience, OR alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with presentations to large groups with an ability to differentiate ABB
  • Experience with pricing strategy and forecasting order volume preferred
  • Requires technical understanding and application of low voltage and medium voltage distribution equipment into complex electrical systems
  • Change management skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with presentations to large groups with an ability to differentiate ABB
  • 3 plus years executing SIOP process for a manufacturing, global supply chain business is preferred
  • 3 plus years as SAP user a plus
  • Electrical Manufacturing industry experience with full product lifecycle processes and enabling systems
  • Experience with Agile planning
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $136,400 and $227,600 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus. myBenefitsABB.com
