Job Description

Vice President of Product - Media Research Solutions

We are seeking a dynamic, outcome focused Vice President of Product to lead our Media research product team. As the VP of Product, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction and execution of our brand lift research products during a time in the industry that gives the opportunity for this role to drive a huge impact - fast. This role will need to ensure our solutions meet the evolving needs of our clients while maintaining the highest standards of data quality, privacy and research integrity. You will be responsible for driving the product from strategy, execution to outcomes, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional solutions that provide valuable insights into campaign and brand performance.

RESPONSIBILITEIES:

  • Product Strategy and Roadmap Development:

    • Define and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for our brand lift and creative evaluation research solutions, aligned with company objectives, competitive landscape, and industry trends.

    • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive product roadmap that prioritizes features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market research, and business goals.

    • Provide a feedback loop on continuous improvement and use data to feedback on success metrics & iterative change.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with sales, product marketing, legal, operations, engineering, and the research and data science team to ensure alignment on product priorities, with accountability for effective execution of the product roadmap.

    • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages open communication, creativity, and innovation across teams.

  • Product Development and Execution:

    • Drive and execute the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept ideation to launch and ongoing optimization.

    • Drive the development of new features and enhancements, utilizing a data-driven approach to inform decision-making and improve product performance.

    • Assess product market fit and ensure that our creative & media research solutions adhere to industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

  • Including - Requirements Gathering and Documentation:

    • Elicit and document detailed requirements from stakeholders, including clients, sales teams, and internal subject matter experts.

    • Analyse and prioritize requirements based on business value, technical feasibility, and market demand.

    • Own & update product launch initiatives not limited to product documentation, partnering with operations and sales enablement for internal process execution, and product marketing for external alignment on product launch.

  • Hand on Development and Sprint Planning:

    • Serve as the voice of the customer and the product champion within the development team.

    • Collaborate with engineering, design, and data science teams to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint goals.

    • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-up meetings to ensure that development efforts are aligned with product priorities.

  • Client Engagement and Relationship Management:

    • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and challenges to inform product improvements and new product offerings.

    • Collaborate with the sales and client success teams to identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding our brand lift research solutions within existing client accounts.

  • Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:

    • Collate competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and opportunities for differentiation.

    • Partner with product marketing and the GTM team to help evole, inform and define product positioning, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated experience in building Publisher partnerships and building S2S integrations and partnering cross collaboratively with data platforming, architecture of data flows and knowledge of CCPA/ GDPR / and other data privacy regulations.

  • Strong Time management skills & consistent record of leading teams to deliver roadmaps on time within scope

  • Execution mindset - outcome driven, not outputs.

  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious goals.

  • Directs and or monitors large-scale business actions that better enable the organization to meet customer needs or market opportunities.

  • Negotiates with client senior management and/or organizational leadership to set priorities; builds industry vertical capabilities to serve customer needs

  • Effectively communicates highly complex ideas to external/internal executive leadership.

  • Contacts require a high degree of diplomacy, and ability to deal with and influence persons in all types of positions

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven track record of success in product management, with at least [10] years of experience in developing and launching research solutions in the media measurement space.

  • Strong understanding of brand lift research methodologies, including survey design, research sciences, statistical analysis, and specific experience with handling, transforming weighting of data.

  • Experience in building data delivery functionality through API and visualisation tools, specifically related to research data.

  • Experience deploying tools like asana/jira in an environment with high expectations for quality, comprehensive detail and transparency on success criteria.

  • Experience working with enterprise clients, most specifically in the media industry and a deep understanding of their needs and challenges.

The base salary range for this position is $180-$220/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A discretionary incentive program may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and other benefits, dependent on full-time employment status.
