We are actively seeking a HR Operations Manager to join our Culture and People (C&P) team.

In this role, you will lead the North American HR Operations Team, helping shape a global service proposition to provide a consistently high level of support to all Beazley associates. You will oversee the successful execution of HR processes and technologies to drive an efficient and optimal employee experience. This will require you to think big, use data to guide your work, be comfortable challenging convention and, in some cases, to reinvent how work is done. Beazley's current systems include Oracle HCM (HRIS), iCims (ATS), iLearn (LMS), Taleo (onboarding) and Jira (project management). We are reviewing our HRIS system requirements and are transitioning onboarding to iCims currently. All systems are owned by C&P.

An ideal candidate is passionate about process design and improvement, collaboration with key stakeholders, and strong customer service ideals. This is an existing role that reports to the Senior HR Operations Manager and has 3 direct reports throughout the US.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and manage the North American C&P Operations team, ensuring the team are compliant, effective and offer excellent customer service to meet the needs of the business
  • Lead the team's delivery of the full employee HR operational lifecycle, new starters, onboarding, processing employee personal data, leaves of absence and leavers
  • Work with the Senior C&P Operations Manager to agree and implement SLAs and other appropriate controls. Manage the team against these requirements
  • Solve problems and get to the root cause of any issue, no matter how complex. Continually review, improve, and document process standards for your areas of responsibility. Where appropriate, strive for global consistency
  • Ensure data integrity by way of driving best practices through systems/tools, processes, auditing, and internal tracking
  • Work with the team to understand and develop reporting requirements and lead the team to ensure that all operational processes deliver quality and timely data
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide consultation, process design, and project management of HR program implementation
  • Support the reward team with employee benefit related process changes and implementations, helping to define a consistent way of work for the HR Operations team.
  • Ensure that all aspects of compensation and pay management are appropriately administered, including the annual salary and incentive review process.

Skills and experience you'll bring:

  • Experience as an HR Operations Manager, HR Manager or similar role
  • Thorough understanding of HR best practices and employment laws and regulations
  • Proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent people management skills and the ability to manage and develop a team of HR professionals
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to build relationships with senior leaders and a complex set of stakeholders to drive organizational change
  • Demonstrated analytical skills. Ability to analyze data, understand trends and provide insights and recommendations
  • Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems

This hybrid role can sit in any of the following office locations: Atlanta (GA), Boston (MA), Chicago (IL), Dallas (TX), Houston (TX), Farmington (CT), Miami (FL), New York City (NY), or Philadelphia (PA)

Salary for this role will be tailored to the successful individual's location and experience. The expected compensation range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 per year plus discretionary annual bonus. You will be able to discuss your salary expectations should you be contacted about this role.
