Fuss & O'Neill is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Transportation Engineer specializing in highways and roadways to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation engineering, with a focus on designing and managing highway and roadway projects. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and impactful projects, collaborating with a talented team of professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage highway and roadway projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Develop detailed engineering designs, plans, and specifications for highway and roadway improvements, including geometric layout and analysis, and drainage design.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and permits for project implementation.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members, fostering their professional development and growth.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in transportation engineering technology.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in transportation engineering, with a focus on highway and roadway design
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and roadway design tools
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering highway and roadway projects on time and within budget.
