The HR Business Partner role is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. This role is a key partner to the leadership team and has a pivotal role in shaping the organization, leveraging change management and driving successful outcomes.

  • Partner with business leaders to understand business objectives into actionable HR strategies. Develop strong and supportive relationships with key operational leaders. Conduct weekly meetings with respective business units
  • Consult and work with client group leaders to resolve human resource related issues and concerns impacting the work environment
  • Consult with management, providing HR guidance when appropriate. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR Direct to develop solutions, programs and policies
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build moral, and increase productivity and retention
  • Oversee staffing levels, identify and develop talent. Identify training needs for business units and individual coaching needs
  • Support and advise on new hires, promotions and transfers. Assist with expatriate assignments and related HR matters
  • Act as customer to the HR Hubs
  • Perform other related projects and duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in a generalist role, experience in a business partner role or direct client group
  • Experience in managing multiple projects with strong prioritization skills
  • Knowledge of HR industry practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and business judgment skills
  • Ability to influence and partner within a diverse organization to help drive business results
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational design, employee relations, performance management, diversity and federal & state employment laws
