CSI understands clients and staff have been impacted by trauma. CSI is becoming a trauma-informed organization by hiring individuals with existing experience in trauma-informed practices as well as supporting ongoing staff development with trauma-informed practices. This will include learning to recognize symptoms of trauma and how to respond, through training starting at orientation and throughout their career at CSI. CSI is committed to systematically evaluating the integration of the trauma-informed values of safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration, and empowerment at all levels of the organization's policies, procedures, and structures to guard against the possibility of re-traumatization.

Program Overview

Community Solutions is in search of a Community Court Liaison Supervisor to oversee the Community Service Coordinators at the Waterbury Community Court in Waterbury, CT. The program seeks to coordinate and develop community service projects, while ensuring the safety and security of clients. The Community Court Liaison Supervisor will keep the Program Director updated on all contract adherence, staff performance, and program performance, while guiding the Community Service Coordinators to a successful program operation. This includes hiring, training, coaching & development, evaluations, discipline, and monthly staff meetings.

Position Overview
  • Supervise the Community Service Coordinators and manage all aspects of the Community Service program.
  • Work closely with the Waterbury Community Court Coordinator to ensure that the court's needs are met, that all issues relating to upcoming and current projects are discussed.
  • Ensure that all participant issues or needs are identified and communicated to the Community Court Coordinator to be reviewed and remedied by the presiding Judge.
  • Responsible for training the Community Service Coordinators in proper work crew supervision as well as overseeing the work sites for quality assurance.
  • In the event that a Community Service Coordinator is absent from work, or that the Court requires four work crews, the Community Court Liaison Supervisor will fill in and supervise a work crew.
  • Conduct program quality assurance review and ensure that safety protocols are followed.
  • Conduct periodic spot checks at community service work sites.
  • Observe staff and clients in the performance of the project, particularly to see if staff engage clients appropriately and model/teach skills that are required of that particular project.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a social science field and two years' experience in a social service capacity. Education may be substituted with experience on a year for year basis.
  • Possess sound judgment and decision making skills.
  • Software proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, Excel, Word, email and video platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, GoTo meeting.
  • Ability to work with spreadsheets and complex reports compiling and analyzing data
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clear driving record is necessary to transport clients and a public service license required for driving Agency vehicles.
