Registered Nurse (Full-time)

Join our team at Keller Army Community Hospital (KACH) in West Point, NY, as a Registered Nurse (RN). In this role, you'll play a critical part in providing healthcare support services in the Emergency Room (ER) and Medical-Surgical Unit (MSU). If you're a dedicated RN looking to make a positive impact in a 24/7 healthcare environment, we want you on our team. Please note: this position will work 12-hour shifts, combination of day and night shifts.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Registered Nurse (Full-time): $55-65/hr

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Registered Nurse (Full-time) Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinating patient care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal clinical outcomes and cost-effective solutions.
  • Ensuring compliance with established standards of care and practice, policies, and guidelines within the MTF.
  • Performing comprehensive physical exams, health histories, health promotions, counseling, education, wound care, medication administration, and various personalized interventions.
  • Directing and supervising healthcare professionals while assigning patient care tasks based on skill levels.
  • Responding swiftly to emergency situations by recognizing adverse signs and symptoms.
  • Collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders for patient care plans, education, and communication.
  • Facilitating referral appointments and specialty care as necessary.
  • Engaging in research to enhance practice and patient outcomes.
  • Documenting patient care and adhering to The Joint Commission (TJC) guidelines.
  • Managing medical records in accordance with coding systems (DRG, ICD9, CPT, HCPCS, E/M Codes).
  • Participating in quality nursing measures such as chart reviews, peer feedback, and Unit Practice Counsel representation.
  • Complying with MEDCOM, local instructions, and regulatory standards.
  • Working combination of overnight shifts of 7pm - 7am and day shifts of 7am -7pm.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Registered Nurse (Full-time) Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Degree: Associates Degree in Nursing.
  • Education: Graduate from an NLNAC or CCNE accredited college or university.
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience in ER or MSU.
  • Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license.
  • Certifications: American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
