ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking a Structural Engineer to work as a member of our vertical structures team in our Manchester, CT office.

Under the direction of a project manager, the structural engineer will be responsible for a variety of structural engineering tasks on multi-discipline projects throughout southern New England. Tasks may include independent field investigations, building assessments, design, and specification of structural systems for new building construction and renovations. Specific skills will include drafting (Autocad and Revit), structural analysis, contractor submittal review, and field visits to record existing conditions (before and during construction). Mentoring junior staff and coordination with other trades will be required on most projects.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or architectural engineering; master's degree in structural engineering preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience required, consulting experience preferred
  • EIT certification required; PE certification preferred or ability to obtain within 2 years
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with design and drafting using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Experience with concrete, steel, and timber design preferred
