A challenging career opportunity exists for someone to join the Corporate Accounting team. As a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst, you will support the corporate accounting team as well as SBU and segment operations. This role can provide an understanding of our business and help with future career growth. This opportunity will provide:
* Visibility to senior management as the corporate accounting team has significant interaction with senior management throughout our global company.
* Growth opportunities within the corporate accounting team or in the operations of the Company. This position provides excellent growth and development opportunities.
* Exposure to technical accounting issues and concepts.

Core responsibilities:

  • Assist Manager, External Reporting with quarterly responsibilities of external financial reporting supporting 10-Q/K and 8-K filings
  • Assist with additional projects and analysis requirements as requested by senior management
  • Provides analysis to identify solutions to accounting issues; assists in implementation of new accounting rules, as required.
  • Assist with providing analysis on multiple technical areas such as pension, lease and revenue recognition accounting
  • Supports the Finance team in the monthly close and consolidation functions, as required
  • Identifies, recommends and implements process improvements for areas of responsibility
  • Provides support and technical guidance to senior accounting leaders on special projects such as on site operations / control reviews; working with operational personnel providing technical accounting guidance and other support

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 to 4 years of demonstrated success within public accounting firm or mix of public accounting and private industry - including audit or related financial experience. Emphasis in manufacturing as well as SEC experience is desired.
  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with a worldwide financial team; ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills required; the individual should have an inquiring and analytical mind with the objective of providing a constructive as well as an investigative review role.
  • Be extremely organized; demonstrate initiative and an ability to complete multiple assignments in a timely manner while working well in a dynamic environment.
  • Impeccable integrity and ethical behavior required.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and professional skepticism (look at the "big picture" and understand results of a deliverable, rather than just mechanically going through the steps)
  • Strong technical and research abilities; proven track record of completing multiple assignments in a timely manner.
  • Individual must work well in a dynamic environment, demonstrate initiative and be able to recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Ability to drive results from those in the field and within the corporate team
  • Strong ability to work independently when given a project or text

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's in accounting degree required; Advanced degree and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation are strongly preferred.
