The Role:

Responsible for Directing all HR Functions relating to the National Tennis Center, including but not limited to recruitment, employee relations, training, and NTC HR Policies and Procedures while growing and sustaining a meaningful culture at the NTC.
Responsibilities:
    Serve as a direct report to the Chief Operating Officer, NTC on the Year Round and US Open's administrative process with an eye towards continuously developing and improving employee morale and business processes.
  • Direct and oversee all full-time, Part-Time and seasonal recruitment processes for the NTC; oversee Recruiter, NTC and Seasonal US Open recruitment team to ensure all positions are filled timely and all USO and Year Round special event needs are planned and filled in advance of start dates.
  • Work in collaboration with all departments to ensure consistency amongst all areas of seasonal personal management. (payroll record keeping, attendance, break periods, and uniform distribution, etc) and solve complex conceptual and implementation problems by negotiating short/long-term goals with Senior Management.
  • Act as liaison for the USTA HR department and communicate/administer all personnel policies, employee guidelines, NTC policies/payroll procedures, and training for staff.
  • Oversee front-end entries and maintenance of the year-round (1c7) payroll into the respective HR/Payroll systems (i.e. ADP ICIMS, etc.)
  • Direct and oversee all employee activities with the goal of improving employee engagement. (i.e. Holiday gathering, celebratory lunches, team bonding exercises.)
  • Develop and maintain staffing templates for all departments. Manage the tracking of seasonal payroll expenses against projected spending. Prepare year-end expense summaries post-US Open and provide to managers for analysis and for projecting performance versus budget. Prepare a complete summary of expenses by area. Complete Financial Reporting utilizing ADP
  • Oversee the maintenance of all seasonal recruitment and hiring materials as well as applications and new employee orientation packets.
  • Direct and oversee the annual US Open seasonal employee training program and related staff uniform process.
  • Direct and oversee the annual strategy for US Open seasonal hiring plans, inclusive of the internal hiring plan system developed in collaboration with IT and wage rate forecasts for each area.
  • Oversee processing of data related to seasonal employees (i.e. data entry, ICIMS, ADP WFN, Talentwise) and verification of I-9 documentation, and employee background checks.
  • Manage and oversee updates to non-US Open staff database in ICIMS/ADP. This database includes:
    • Employees available to work non-US Open events.
    • Historical data on events worked, positions held, hours worked, rates of pay, performance evaluations, etc.
  • Establish and maintain seasonal employee files and related confidential personnel records. Work with NTC department directors to update seasonal and US Open job descriptions annually.
  • Responsible for solving all Employee Relations issues at the NTC including Managing the Disciplinary process up until Termination.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer of the National Tennis Center
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in HR or Business Management
  • 6+ years HR experience and certification in SHRM
  • 5+ years recruiting position hiring / onboarding high volume and hiring all levels.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong managerial skills and past experience leading successful recruitment teams.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Must have strong hands-on experience with Payroll systems & processing (including hiring requirements)
  • Advanced payroll experience (if necessary), ICIMS, and ADP database experience.
  • Advanced Excel (ability to create formulas, run macros, run v-lookup formulas is a must). Proficiency in MS Word.
  • 3+ years' experience with HRIS systems (preferred ADP).
  • Advertising/job fair experience
  • Position is considered exempt
Salary Range: $125,000-150,000; potential ICP bonus
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
