Position Summary:
To assess clinical education needs, and design, develop, and deliver educational programs in collaboration with management. Ensures that training activities meet pre-determined training objectives and identified educational needs. In addition, orients applicable staff.
Education
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelors required. BSN strongly preferred.
Experience
2 years of RN experience required plus an additional 2 years in the specialty area. Computer and keyboard skills required. Medical terminology required. 1 year recent hospice experience required. HCHB experience required.
Special Skills/Qualifications
Current State of NJ license (or legal permission to work from the NJ Board of Nursing) Completion of General Orientation, VHC specific orientation, CPR certification required. Demonstrates effective interaction & communication (oral, writing, presenting) skills. Ability to work accurately & pay attention to details, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. Ability to function competently in stressful situations & a changing work environment related to changing customer needs. Ability to work cooperatively within the health-system; w/ patients & family members; & w/ multidisciplinary team members (i.e., physicians, Rehab, etc.). Ability to utilize effective time management to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities, & respond quickly to emergency situations. Ability to use critical thinking & clinical reasoning skills to effectively problem-solve & deliver care.
