Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Thoracic Surgeon to the group at Lincoln Medical Center. The Hospital is part of the NYC Health + Hospitals System (NYCHHC). Lincoln is a designated Level I Trauma and Stroke Center and has Centers of Excellence in all medical specialties including its award- winning Cancer and Breast Centers.
The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Weill-Cornell Medical College to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.
• Lead a team of residents and mid-level providers to cover both inpatient and ambulatory thoracic clinical practices
• Attend all thoracic surgery consults in a timely manner in accordance with policies and procedures
• Attend solid tumor conference every two weeks
• Establish and direct or co-direct a chest multidisciplinary conference as a working and teaching conference with a lung cancer screening program
• Aggressively work to build the volume of chest surgery cases (thoracic)
• Board certified, or board-eligible, in Thoracic Surgery
• Possess a New York State Medical License
Preferred Qualifications:
• Boarded in Surgery
• Training in VATS and robotic assisted thoracic surgery
• Experience with esophageal/foregut cases including robotic assisted surgery
