Banquet Server - Seasonal

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare dining room for service.
  • Attend pre-meal with attending kitchen staff for specials and menu additions.
  • Greet guests at table and take all orders.
  • Enter orders into Micros.
  • Prepare table for each course with appropriate setting.
  • Deliver orders to table in a timely manner and professional manner.
  • Clear and clean table after each course.
  • Present guest with check and process payment.
  • Clear and reset tables for next guest.
  • Take and deliver room service orders.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High School Diploma required. Bachelors’ degree preferred.
  • Minimum three years’ related work experience banquets.
  • Flexibility to perform job responsibilities outside of this job description that may require assisting other departments in their regular functions.
  • Ability to comply with all hotels policy and procedures.
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and/or flexible hours.
  • Must be alert, friendly and able to assist guests with courtesy and promptness.
  • Ability to stay focused and self-motivated for long periods of time.
  • Ability understand and speak English when receiving instructions in English or when speaking to people that speak language(s) other than own native language. 
  • Ability to hear and verbally communicate customer requests.
  • Excellent computer skills – Excel, Word, Publisher
