Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to the group at Lincoln Medical Center. The Hospital is part of the NYC Health + Hospitals System (NYCHHC). Lincoln is a designated Level I Trauma and Stroke Center and has Centers of Excellence in all medical specialties including its award- winning Cancer and Breast Centers. 

 

The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Weill-Cornell Medical College  to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Responsibilities

The Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon will diagnose patients and treat various conditions affecting the oral and maxillofacial regions. Responsibilities include direct supervision of OMFS resident staff. The candidate will be part of a growing OMFS Department that includes a strong infrastructure of support with the present attending staff in OMFS. Assumption of role will include Program Director in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

 

  • Primary responsibilities include direct supervision of OMFS resident team as Program Director in OMFS.
  • Participation in daily rounds of in-patients
  • Scholarly activity with resident education program and mentorship of research initiatives
  • Educational conferences and presentations to faculty and residents across all disciplines
  • Growth of Craniofacial Division to include treatment for Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Cleft Palate Repair

 

Qualifications

  • Doctor of dental surgery (DDS) or Doctor of medicine in dentistry (DMD). MD degree Preferred
  • Board Eligible by The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. (Board Certification Preferred)
  • Appropriate New York state licensure 
  • Fellowship Certificate of training preferred however not required
