Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or MT(ASCP) certification or Bachelors degree in Biology or Chemistry or equivalent in order to meet the minimum New York State Department of Education requirements. NYSDOH license as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or NYSDOH Restricted License in Histocompatibility Testing. Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Expertise in dealing with scientific principal’s involved in the methodology performed, as well as alternative methodologies and their application to a given situation. Experience with Microsoft office, hospital-based and laboratory-based software systems. Four years as a Clinical Immunogenetics Technologist II or five years experience in other high complexity clinical or research testing.Must be available to report to work within one hour of STAT testing requests..

Preferred Qualifications:
American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ACHI) Certified Histocompatibility Technologist (CHT). American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ACHI) Certified Histocompatibility Specialist (CHS). Five years experience in Histocompatibility & Immunogenetics testing

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $107,700.00 – $127,500.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
